Kennedy Harper is an illustrator and painter from Columbus, Georgia, with a B.F.A. in Visual Art. Her portfolio includes narratively driven works inspired by her contemplations. Influenced by Baroque painters and contemporary comic artists, her compositions are moody and silent, using high contrast lighting to stage her scenes. She obsessively invents worlds, characters, and stories, and transforms them into visual creations that serve as her means of navigating complex human emotions. Harper has gained several years of experience in illustration, working as an illustrator for Columbus State University’s news magazine, The Uproar, interning as an illustrator of a graphic novel, and illustrating two graphic novels of her own. She has shown her work in several student juried exhibitions, the Arden Literary Magazine, and the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) art exhibition. Harper’s achievements include winning first prize in a portrait drawing competition, second place in the PBC exhibition, and earning an honorable mention in a 2026 Juried Exhibition.
